Review summary

We cruised on Princess Ruby July 6 -13th, 2019 to Alaska out of Seattle. The Ruby could use some updates. We our daughter and friends had a balcony cabin on Caribe deck 10 C619, C623, C629. Beware of Toilet problems in these 3 cabins. The very 1st day our toilets started not flushing and over flowing. The carpet was wet and needed a fan to blow dry the carpet. This went on for the whole week. Our steward Ryan was good to get us help when we needed it. We ate in the Davinci Dining room every night but 1. Food was good and our head waiter Nelvin aka: Whoohoo, and assistant waiter Marislav were the best. Food in the Horizon Buffet was ok with alot of repeat food all week. We didn't use the pools and whirlpools but some kiddos did. We missed the main shows in the theater. I played bingo and won!!! I played slots and won and then gave it all back. Sights from our balcony were breathtaking. Embarkation and Disembarking were a piece of cake. Use Port Valet it is free and well worth dragging luggage around.

Ok, this is really annoying as this is not the first time in the last few months I’ve read comments of toilet problems on the Ruby Princess. Including for one family who had to use the public bathrooms because their room toilet did not flush. It seems pretty unacceptable that this problem is on-going and not being fixed. Next week we unfortunately stay in a room between two of those mentioned as having problems which is very concerning from a sanitation standpoint and especially given what we are paying!
