Review summary

This was a disappointing start of the kids cruise career. We made the most of it and had a great time in Cabo. The ship itself, service and food was lacking.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food and service in the MDR was disappointing. Not even once did the waiter get my daughter’s order right. SHARE (specialty rest) was a wonderful experience! Do it! Don't hesitate for a minute.

Comedian was hilarious. (I nearly had an accident 😂🤣)

Children's Programs

DD absolutely loved the kids program. We hardly saw her. DS was the youngest in the teen program (13-17 year olds). He felt really out of place.

Service and Staff

2 out of 5
The wait staff in the MDR, and lido seemed to be suffering from ennui. Our MDR waiter got every one of my DD’s orders wrong. Every. Single. One. Our cabin steward was patently rude! Kids beds didn’t have top sheets. When we discovered this at bedtime and I called him - during his “on call” time - he told me he was eating and would be there in half an hour. Even after I spoke to guest services his attitude was nasty.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Our cabin, especially the bathroom, was filthy. So bad I took a video. No one seemed to care. I left that stateroom cleaner than I found it.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Extended balcony cabin. Larger inside and out, but little privacy on the balcony because upper floors could look down onto our balcony. Beds were comfortable. Princess has a great setup with partition between the bathroom/closets area and the living space. That's a nice touch. As mentioned above, cabin was dirty. Especially the bathroom.

Ship tip

Don't miss the whale watching if traveling to Cabo in February.

Glad we were towards the front of the herd.

The steward was listed as working when I called him. It was his "on duty time." He'd also gotten a nice tip when he came to introduce himself, just hours before he failed to make the kid's beds. If he was listed as off work when we needed him to start and finish his job I would have tracked down someone else. To sum up: he was supposed to be working, I wouldn't interrupt him if he was off, he made me feel guilty for asking him to do his job! Respect is given when deserved.

The nerve of that steward wanting to finish his meal! I've heard that treating staff with kindness and respect is typically returned with great service.
