Review summary

I had heard great things about Princess Cruises. Not sure if it is the losses they incurred with the pandemic, or something else, but I will not cruise with them again unless I read about big improvements.

Service was fantastic. Food was excellent some nights, good some nights. Quantity was OD for woman, way too small for a man. Gluten free breads: one choice, White bread . No rolls at dinner, no hot dog or hamburger buns. GF desserts mostly flavorless.

Onboard Activities

The only games available for us were ones we needed to pay for. (Bingo, Deal or no Deal). No organizes games for us like ring toss, indoor put put. (Have been on other cruises when something was going on 4 hrs a day). We were on the Pacific for 9 days, bad weather and not much to do.

HI hope you will give the Princess another chance at making your cruise better. I have been on 32 cruises already & you are right - some of the nights the food is better than ever & then you get let down a bit but there is so much more to the cruises than food. Making friends & memories & seeing the world up close front & center! Come Back!

I’m sorry to hear about disappointments on the Royal because my 3/27/23 coming up cruise will be my 1st Princess cruise. Heard about the great pizza from my TA. I’ll hope for the best!!!

I’m on the Royal right now. Very disappointed in the changes that have been implemented from my last cruise last year. Desserts are tiny even too small for kids. The crown grill fillet mignon was small and rare when asked for medium and not seasoned properly. For having been on many Princess cruises it is very apparent that they have chosen to cut back on things that bring me on cruises such as the meals. Omelets are tiny like crepes. Also, the Royal Princess has no disco and uses the lobby for dancing which is awkward to say the least. No pizza at midnight when out and about. Big disappointment. Crew excellent as always. Not their fault. Not sure I’ll return to Princess again although platinum member. Also, they removed Don Julio from their tequila selection for plus beverage package. Too many cuts from what I expect from Princess. Other seasoned cruisers like me have also noticed. Glad I didn’t invest in Princess as I once considered doing…
