Review summary
We took this cruise as a way of getting home after spending some time in Europe. We have cruised a lot, but this was only our 2 time with HAL. The ship itself was great; very clean and well laid out. The food was very good , we split our evening dinner between the MDR and the lido. The staff were generally friendly and the ships singers and dancers were very good. However, the rest of the entertainment was not for us. We were at sea for a long time and it seemed that customers engagement was not high on HALs priority. The lecturer was frankly the worse I have ever experienced. We are retired and in our early 60s and were amongst the youngest on the ship. Not sure if the 70/80s cruise crowd are the target audience for HAL, but it did appear that the whole cruise was geared for this demographic.Embarkation
