Review summary

Due to the hurricane, Ft. Lauderdale closed the port that was supposed to be our first cruise day. Our cruise was cut short one day. We also had medical emergencies and skipped Phillipsburg and went to Turks and Caucus for the evacuation of medical emergencies. HAL did everything they could to make our cruise great. Even 15% refund due to hurricane and the closing of Port Everglades. Season cruisers know you have to roll with the punches and make the best of it. I had a wonderful time and will always remember this cruise with all the ups and downs.

Due to port closing, the original start date was cut short. All passengers were given the same boarding time. HAL did the best they could.

Always excellent service and staff on Holland America. Even the maintenance crew always friendly.

New ship and kept immaculate at all times. Smoking in casino kind of a smelly downer.

Great size and due to location a little larger balcony. Nice shower!

Rain, clouds, and fog ruined our chance to see Mount Pelee.

Toured to the Batik facility very nice.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island) Did not visit port

Fourth time to the island, stayed on the ship and enjoyed the Rotterdam.

Disembarkation

Guests actually listened to the plan and disembarkation was a breeze! Best and easiest ever!
