Review summary

The cruise was fun, but not without issues. It was understaffed on its first week and the dining experience in particular suffered for it. Entertainment was sporadic and conflicted with the overly long dinner times. The ports of call were mostly wonderful and all the shore excursions we engaged in were worth it.

The specialty restaurants were great. The main dining experience was poor compared to past cruises. This was the first cruise for this ship since the beginning of the pandemic and it was understaffed. Everyone had MyTime dining and the typical meal length was 2 hours or slightly longer. Too long for dinner (which conflicted with other activities). The waiters were not as attentive either as each had far more tables than usual to attend to.

Onboard Activities

The number of activities were somewhat low on this ship, mostly due to the fact that nearly each day we had a port of call.

Entertainment

The number of shows were low compared to other cruises I have been on. The showtimes used to be 6 pm and 8 pm to accommodate early and late diners, but now the showtimes are 8 pm and 10 pm. Since we ate at 8 pm, our only showtime option was 10 which was too late after a long day. The long dinner times (2 hours or longer) also conflict with the showtimes, no matter what time you try to eat.

The staff were mostly attentive and excellent, but they were understaffed and not as responsive as previous cruise experiences.
