Rhapsody of the Seas

12 Night Hawaii Southbound (Vancouver To Honolulu)

Sail date: September 09, 2011

Ship: Rhapsody of the Seas

Cabin type: Inside

Traveled as: Couple

Review summary

Really nice ship with plenty of room for everyone, for a long trip, a bigger boat with more amenities would be my choice next time like the Oasis or the Allure if they ever get to the Pacific. Extremely clean ship with a great blended crew, all polite and courteous

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Seemed limited to singing and dance mostly. Like the other acts better for variety.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Next time I will book a larger room. Inside stateroom for this trip was adequate but that was my choice, not any fault of the cruise. Good for what it is but can get clumsy for larger people.

Ports of call

Nawiliwili, Kauai

3 out of 5
only went to the beach to relax and surf
Don't Miss: surfing in the protected harbor. Great for beginners.

Hilo, Hawaii

3 out of 5
Rained when we were there so it limited the activities we did. Seemed a bit run down and more industrial than tourist.

Lahaina, Maui

5 out of 5
Very tourist oriented, lots to see and do, lots of shops and restaurant/bars, city bus available to get around on, beaches are clean and open to the public
Don't Miss: Bus ride/tour of Haleakala. Breathtaking once you're in the crater

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

5 out of 5
Clean and dry, beautiful town, lots to see and do
Don't Miss: 2 hour helicopter tour of the volcanoes and waterfalls

Honolulu, Oahu

5 out of 5
Very urban, bustling city.

Pros: Cleanliness, politeness of the crew, fantastic food

Cons: Short time in ports
