Portsmouth has a place to drop your luggage and take a shuttle bus to Gun Wharf Quay to hang prior to your embarkation time. You can grab your bottle of wine prior to boarding.

Le Verdon-Sur-Mer (Bordeaux), France

Took a long bus ride to get to Bordeaux, Couple of people on the tour didn’t listen to the bus driver for the time to be back. Needs to make sure everyone knows. They arrived to the bus almost 30 minutes late and caused the bus driver to drive very quickly back to the port. Was the last bus to arrive prior to the boat pulling out.

Glad you had a good trip. We went on a different cruise line to the same Bordeaux port you had. I agree the port is not convenient to Bordeaux. Until the finish, the closer port, Bordeaux, is not a good option for cruise ships.
