The islands we visited, especially in the first leg of the trip were breathtaking.
We ended up having to be at sea for 5 full days on our way to Hawaii because the waves were high and the Captain could not go as fast as was intended.
After Hawaii we had another 5 days at sea which we knew about but were not really prepared for. Not much to do onboard as far as entertainment.
Covid-19 was pretty prevalent by the time we docked in LA and inconsistent information given to passengers that had tested positive as far as disembarkation.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
Very organized it went fast but our staterooms weren’t ready for quite a while
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
5 out of 5
Excellent choices everywhere but the coffee served in the Terrace Cafe and the Dining room was horrible. We eventually figured out to get our coffee from the machines in Horizons or the Terrace Cafe
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Pool although rough seas closed the pool for several days.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
We found the late show times inconvenient for us who like to eat around 6.30pm to 7pm have an after dinner drink, we were ready to return to our state room
Children's Programs
No children on this cruise
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff and crew were top notch
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Layout was fine. Common areas always seemed cleaned.
There were a lot of Covid-19 outbreaks on this cruise and we feel
like passengers should have been kept up on these numbers. I was one that got the virus and I found out that at least 1 person in each room either side of my cabin #7034 and one other next to that got Covid. Wondering if the AC filters were in fact replaced and if that could be how this virus travels around the ship.
Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin itself was comfortable, especially the bed! The bathroom however was incredibly small and the shower was quite
a challenge. We have friends that would never have been able to navigate that bathroom.
We did a snorkeling tour which was advertised as aquarium garden which made it sound as though it would be an easy tour when in
fact it was much harder swim after jumping off the boat. I was very uncomfortable as were a few other passengers. I did not enjoy this at all!
They split passengers who had Covid from the rest of the passengers which was fine but we were not kept informed about how we would then meet back up with our family members once off the ship. Covid positive passengers were told to stay in their stateroom until someone from medical came for us. We waited for over 11/2 hours getting different updated information about what was happening. Some of us had an early flight home fro LAX and needed to get off the ship. Eventually someone from reception said “no one is coming for you, exit the ship from deck 4!” It was all very stressful and not organized at all.
