Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Nice variety and good quality. Most meals were great though a few were sub-par, such as T-Bone steak. Must wait on line at beginning of cruise for specialty restaurant reservations. Open seatring was very convenient.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Entertainment was second rate. Singers out of tune. String quartet playing twice each evening was wonderful.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Wide variety. Food staff were excellent, especially Maitre D's and managers. Spa staff were pleasant but not warm and friendly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Easy to find everything with smaller ship. Very clean, though broken lounge chair not fixed for 4 days.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Clean and comfortable. Concierge suite was small and tight for even 2 people. Decor was average.

Ports of call

Porto Cervo (Olbia), Sardinia

3 out of 5
Didn't go on excursion. Town was old, run-down with liots of construction. Cafe was friendly and quaint.

La Spezia, Italy

3 out of 5
Florence was beautiful but tour didn't give opportunity to spend enough time.
Don't Miss: Duomo

Katakolon (Olympia), Greece

3 out of 5
Winery tour was sub-par. Land was stunning but tour of winery was uninformative.

Taormina, Sicily

5 out of 5
Favorite port of cruise.
Don't Miss: Greco-Roman Theatre

Mahon (Mao), Menorca, Balearic Islands

3 out of 5

Aghios Nikolaos, Crete

Palace of Knossos was historical but mostly ruins. Visit to typical village was charming.

Amalfi, Italy

5 out of 5
Beautiful, relaxing.

Monemvasia, Greece

5 out of 5
Dramatic, beautiful and historical.
Don't Miss: Hiking to very top of mountain and the view from there.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

5 out of 5
Detailed and thorough tour of Vatican was terrific. BUs tour of other Roman sites was comforatble but only saw sites as bus passed by.
Don't Miss: Vatican

Pros: Dining flexibility and upscale, casual atmosphere of ship. Wonderful variety of ports

Cons: Inconsistent service/attitude of ship's staff. Difficulty understanding heavy accents of tourguides.
