Only a 7 day cruise, not 14 days...A bit rough around the edges. 1 1/2 hour late departure from port. Mechanical issues. Missed excursion in St. Marteen due to arriving 3 hours late.
A mixed bag for sure. Really bad and really good. Late departure from port. Mechanical problems enroute. Never could make up that time. So St Marteen excursion was canceled. On the ship though.. Loved Gary the cruise director.. He did such a good job and was full of enthusiasm.. Love the line dancing.. Lots of fun learning new dances and it was quite a workout.. Wished it lasted longer.. And the Beetle Maniacs were outstanding if you love the Beetles...

There were many things to do all day. Participated in Line dancing, slot tournament, seeing live shows that were taped, such as Marriage Match. A form of the Newlywed game. My sister and her husband learned forms of ball room dancing. There was a flash mob, movies under the stars, bands and DJ's at the pool. The gym and outside walking/running track were awesome.. There were numerous activities everyday. If you were bored it was because you wanted to be.

The ships singers and dancers put on a really good show.. Loved the comedian.. Saw him twice.. But Beetle Maniacs were the best! What a show they put on.. Absolutely loved them and highly recommend seeing their show.. Get their early to get a seat in the first few rows. Otherwise everyone will be standing up and you won't be to see..

Really enjoyed Gary the cruise director. He did a first rate job. The man is always on and does a fantastic job!!!! Our room steward James did a excellent job. He never disturbed us but anticipated our needs and always took care of them.. Our waiters did a good job and were very knowledgeable. This was my first experience with the whole cruise level of service. Had to admit I really enjoyed it.

Cabin / Stateroom

Was in a mini-suite with a balcony due to 3 people. Not something I would recommend normally. But it was necessary on a cruise due to price. The suite did have a privacy curtain where you could change, a table, and it's own tv. The single sofa bed was very comfortable. The bathroom did have a full bathtub. This is a big deal from what I understand. Overall the suite was pretty nice..
Ship tip
Check out the sunrise from the back of the ship.. It was spectacular! And not many people around..
Overall really enjoyed the beach.. Flip flops don't work well in that rocky sand though.. Didn't realize the ship provided food but they do. Hamburger, hotdogs, etc..
It was beautiful.. But the excursion left a lot to be desired.. Was not what the description said. Felt like we were dropped off at 2 different gift shops with a view.. We thought we were visiting a rum plantation... We did get some rum samples, and saw the view from a lookout.. The guided tour talked about some island plants, then sent you on your way by yourself.. Really disappointing! The view was spectacular though..
The port was nice. But since we arrived 3 hours late the majority of excursions were canceled. Our money was refunded. But no other options were offered to us. We did wander around and had a nice dinner.. Just not the same as taking a submarine trip...
Glad to read that overall you enjoyed your Princess cruise experience. We have been on the Regal 2 times and really enjoyed it as well. It is our favorite Princess ship (sailed on the Coral and Caribbean as well). We are departing from Fort Lauderdale (T/A to Denmark) on the Sky Princess next month. We hope that it will be equally enjoyable as the Princess Regal cruise was.
