Review summary

There are better cruises for young to middle aged adult entertainment and better cruises for you to middle aged children. If you are looking for mature relaxed time then this is likely the cruise for you. Beautiful ship with plenty of shopping to be had both on board and at port. Excursions were never over booked, which was great. The weather was perfect and the length of the cruise was just right. If I were over 50 with older or no kids it would be right up my alley.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Boarding was easy and not too long, but it would have been much faster had our boarding documents been mailed to us before our trip.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Very good selection of food from many cultures and every taste every night. Plenty of space to eat. The private dining was very good with top service. Our allergies were not a problem for us!

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Group activities were fun. The ship could use some upgrades for water slides for kids or rock climbing walls, etc.

Entertainment

We did not attend any of the shows due to timing and availability of space.

Children's Programs

4 out of 5
Children enjoyed the programs and they were very safe and organized.

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Staff service was courteous, prompt and friendly. They accommodated any request that was reasonable. Spa staff were excellent. Great services, knowledgable, and helpful.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Layout was very good. Could improve recreation areas in upper deck for physical activities. Space was good and overall very clean. Never saw trash or a mess anywhere.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The size and comfort were good. The balcony was nice and the bed was comfortable.

Ship tip

The Eastern Caribbean has very similar ports, so plan different activities to add variation to the port days.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

4 out of 5
Port was easy to navigate. No excursion here.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

3 out of 5
Beach was rocky in our location. Waiters walking the beach were limited and the shops did not have higher than an 8 SPF sunscreen! good for relaxing and sun bathing mostly.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
Great time. Linked up with a private tour guide and went all over the island. Great stories about the island and nice views form mountains and beaches.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

3 out of 5
Could use a bit more direction for things to do form locals. beaches were nicest of all ports, however and cost was very cheap in comparison to other ports.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very easy and relaxed. No big rush and option to keep your luggage or check it is great for families.

What boarding docs. do you wish they mailed to you? We do the on line check in through the Princess website. We print our boarding passes and baggage tags at home so we have them at the port.
