Review summary

Loved the Princess cruise! Loved being on the ship for 14 days! Loved the Medallions!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
This was a continuation of last week’s cruise. We met in the theater & had to wait for clearance (everyone else to get off the ship). Then they took us as a group off the ship & into customs & then back on again. The reason for the 4 stars is because we had to wait about an hour & a half, but I also realize it was not the fault of Princess or customs. They did the best they could.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate at the buffet for breakfast & lunch. We ate in the main dining room or specialty restaurant for dinner. We (personally) do not feel that the specialty restaurants are worth the extra money. We had just as good, if not better service in the main dining rooms. All the food was great!

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I used the pool, fitness center & participated in Zumba. There are no slides or rock climbing walls on this ship, which is fine with me.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The broadway shows were of very high quality, but they are not our thing. The comedian for the second week was one we had seen 4-5 times and had the same act, so we skipped his second show. The Beatlemania & song impressions was very good. We love all the game shows & trivia they had on this ship. There was something every night.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Service was very good, in all areas.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Loved the ship layout & design. We have been on 8 different Princess cruise ships & I think this is my favorite. Not too big, but not small either. The ship was very clean & maintained.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
My husband didn’t like the life boat outside our balcony, but we got a really good deal on this cruise, so I have no complaints. The showers are bigger than most of Princesses ships. The updated TV programming was a nice surprise. If you missed the Movie Under the Stars, you could watch it in your room. The great part was that you could pause it and resume it later, because we didn’t spend that much time in the room. Loved the Medallions! It was nice to walk up to the door & have it unlock, without trying to find your room key.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida Did not visit port

Since we were cruising back to back we just went through customs & got back on because we were meeting friends.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

5 out of 5
Usual private island. We exited to the right and it was less crowded. Getting our food was easy. The water was cold, but once you got use to it, it was okay.

Disembarkation

So easy! Our walk off time was from 6:30 to 8:30. We left around 7 & walked right off & there was NO line in customs.
