Review summary

We generally select a cruise to take during the Christmas vacation, and have stuck with Princess since trying and not liking NCL. The ship was clean, comfortable and the staff was great. Other than embarking, we never noticed how many people there were on the ship. I think that the design fo the ship helps with that. the Medallion didn't work out really well, but I get that they are just starting it. I hope that by next year it does not have bugs.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
we spent most of our time in the main dining room. the food and service were outstanding, especially Mark and Nathan (our severs) and Dragen, the head waiter. We also ate at the Horizon court and hamburger and pizza stands. All excellent.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
adult pool was great. also enjoyed a massage.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
although we didn't do any scheduled shows, we did listen to the bands in the atrium and at various parts of the ship. all were excellent.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
again, Mark and Nathan in the main dining room (Concierto?) were outstanding in every way every night. the staff at the Sanctuary were great and so were everyone else we encountered.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
the cabin was fine. It is a typical cruise cabin. the bathroom and shower were just big enough. we don't expect to spend too much time in the cabin, but when we did, it was fine. we did like the unlimited television, although would have liked to see more "Love Boat" episodes available, considering that is the only time we will watch them.

What specifically didn't work with the Medallion service? Interested in going on the Regal specifically because it has the new Medallion service
