Embarkation

We arrived at the terminal over an hour earlier than our suggested boarding time. We were on the ship in less than 30 minutes.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Our meals had amazing variety. We ate ate the buffet for most breakfasts and lunches and the Allegro dining room for out set dining time. We also had one dinner in the Crown Grill. The service was excellent and the food was sumptuous.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We loved the poolside Movies Under the Stars. We were so busy we didn’t have much time for other activities. We aren’t in great physical shape so we skipped the gym this time. We really had fun playing Trivia several times as well.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The Princess Theater is amazing, as were the shows we attended almost every night. The talent was fantastic. My favorite was the show Bravo. We also thoroughly enjoyed the Piazza shows and contests.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone who served us was very professional and friendly. We turned in personal excellent review cards on our dining room waiters, our stateroom steward, and our bartender. We had one glitch with a slot machine in the casino which was resolved very professionally and fairly.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was everything we had hoped for. The cleanliness was outstanding, even in the smoking lounge.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was perfect. I was amazed at how quiet it was. Our every need was fulfilled without asking. We organized a lot of our belongings on strong magnetic hooks on the walls.

Ship tip

You can bring your own canned soft drinks in your carry-on bags.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

We had a great Air B&B the night we fore we sailed. The terminal was very modern and well run. We drove into the port from Texas and used a Park and Go with shuttle service. It all ran perfectly.

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

We enjoyed the beautiful surroundings. We didn’t do any rentals or excursions, but the cookout style lunch was good and we had no trouble finding a table.

Falmouth, Jamaica

We did the VIP Bamboo Beach Club excursion. We had a comfortable coach ride and attentive chair side service on the beach. The water was perfect and in December it wasn’t too hot. The sand is very soft and I think I brought half the beach away in my swimsuit. The clothing change area was very spartan, but the restrooms were clean and adequate. The bus stopped for shopping at Culture Touch and the store closed their restrooms - not very hospitable! The bus driver made another restroom stop at a gas station further on. Good narration and stories on the bus ride.

George Town, Grand Cayman

We took an excursion that included a stop in Hell, a visit to the rum cake shop and then a trip to the rum distillery. The visit in Hell was not long, but our driver collected our postcards at the next stop and promised to mail them for us.

Cozumel, Mexico

We walked around the port and had drinks at Pancho’s. The shopping was great!

Disembarkation

We had an amazing porter who zipped us through in no time. We had a few things to declare but we were never asked.
