Review summary

I had a fair time - my fault. Not fun to cruise alone. Days are fine, but when everyone was dancing and in pairs in the evening - you feel really out of it. Dinner table - people were very strange and didn't show up some nights. Twice I ate alone.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
It was amazing. It went very fast and organized. I really appreciated that.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
I ate at the buffet and main dining room. The buffet gave lots of choices. Breakfast I always just had lox, bagel and cream cheese, cantaloupe. Would have like cut up fruit. Lunch I make a big salad, but I didn't have a lot of things I usually add like I find on other ships. Dinners were fair. One night my steak tasted like liver, escargot good, beef wellington good. I don't do soup or salad. Desserts good.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The only think I do on the ship is sit by the pool and go to the gym, but a lot was offered.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Entertainment was very good. The production shows were wonderful and the singer was great. I did not enjoy the comedian. Loved listening to A.J. in Crooners lounge.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Cabin Steward was very good, waitress and assistant were very good and I switched tables and the waiter was good.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship is very pretty, but I think the Royal Princess is prettier.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was fine - lots of places to put clothes and liked the refrigerator.

Ship tip

Read your nightly news sheet.

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

3 out of 5
Didn't like the Island - not pretty. No comparison to the Holland America private Island.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
Fine - I've been there about 19 times. I walk to town and to the Synagogue.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

5 out of 5
Really like St. Maarten. Been there many times and always like to return.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Unbelievably fabulous. Easy as pie getting off. Best ever.

Dear hope...... please be advised: you are never Alone ...no matter where you may be. Especially aboard a cruise ship with 3000 or so passengers and maybe 1500 or so staff. If we are ever on a ship at the same time, I’ll make sure you will not eat alone...unless you want to. I’m an old lady with a life full of wonderful stories to tell...especially about the interesting people I have met on my over 60 cruises.
