Regal Princess

14 Night British Isles & Norway Passage (Copenhagen To New York)

Sail date: September 08, 2018

Ship: Regal Princess

Cabin type: Balcony

Review summary

We Traveled to the Med on Royal so expected her Sister Ship to be about the same, but it certainly was not. I especially was looking to the Medallion Class ship, but unless you read the FINE print and are persistent enough to research all their advertising, you then and ONLY then find out it is NOT MEDALLION, But "Medallion Preview". Even the VERY FEW medallion cabins still had to carry their cruise cards. VERY Disappointing....

Ship Quality

Many Ceiling Indicators were not working and was very Difficult to tell which Elevator was going up &/or Down.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Small but acceptable. I ALWAYS had to clean Balcony door, but was afraid to clean Glass on the Balcony Rail, so it was ALWAYS Dirty and spotted.

Ship tip

Look over there Loyality Program. Taking 4 (7 day Cruises), elevates you to the Same level of membership as Taking we were taking Longer More expensive Cruises. We took 3 Cruises for a total of 33 days, so taking 5 more expensive days resulted the same level..

Now that the Regal is back in the US, installation on the Medallion system should resume. It appears they worked out the bugs in the system over the summer, so hopefully the medallion system will be up and running soon.

Oh bummer! 😟We sail on the Regal the end of January and was really hoping it would be Medallion ready. Thanks for the info! 🛳😎

Agreed - we were told the same thing when we booked. I guess they are not ready yet :(
