Review summary

I enjoyed the variety of daily activities onboard the Regal Princess. Most of the food offerings were delicious and served hot. Dining room for dinner was great with very attentive waiter staff. Stateroom was nice and clean. I think waiting in a line outside of terminal to check-in was a bit excessive. Should let people inside to wait for check-in. Our port day was unusually cold for FL. I was disappointed in not having a gluten free buffet food station like other cruise lines. You had to go around and ask-wasting time. Night time trivia winners were always given cheap champagne and the staff saying so too-not professional. Didn't like not getting compensated for a missed port stop due to weather-try to go to another port out of bad weather!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Need a gluten free buffet station, especially when you let cruise line know ahead of time your dietary needs. Not cool to have to ask what is gluten and what is not.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Need to give out better prizes for your trivia and other games since some of your game activities are a bit involved. Improve champagne prize with a better brand.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Very disappointing. Didn't need to see a magician & comedian twice during the week-need more variety. The Opera guest singer was great!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Snow White, food and beverage supervisor for Concerto dining room awesome to help with dietary needs!! Need better shore excursion desk staff-not helpful push you off to use IPAD or written form.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
I've seen better deals/sales on other cruise lines. Your outlet sale day lacked in variety.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Great stateroom with great views. A little cramped when sofa sleeper down for sleep at night.

Ship tip

If you have any dietary restrictions, i.e. find out if they have a gluten free buffet station on the ship before booking!

This port stop was canceled due to bad weather.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

Need to prepay excursions on Princess if you want a specific excursion-they don't have adequate slots for certain excursions.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

I'm curious if you alerted the cruise before the trip that you are gluten free?

The cruise lines try to do their best to have alternative plans if ports need to be cancelled but sometimes they can't swap because there is not room for another ship at port. These ports and cruises are all planned out years in advance. At the end of the day, weather is beyond their control and they are looking out for the safety of the passengers.
