Review summary

Specialty restaurants rated excellent including service in those particular establishments. As expected since there was an addition cost to eat there. Had dinner at our assigned dining time. Service by waiter was fair, the asst to the waiter was much more attentive to our needs. Caribbean night, food selection not good or appetizing. wound up eating a hamburger since the main course that was ordered was terrible. Probably should had selected eating at the buffet this night. The other three nights we ate in the dining room the food was good, however, not exceptionable.  Excursion in St Thomas was a waste, not worth 44.95/pp to basically do noting. An hour tour of a portion of the island only to overlook the cruise port, than to Blackbeards Castle for a boring talk, once that was completed walk to the center of town where the main shopping was located. Was at least expecting the tour to drive over to Megans Bay and Frenchmans reef. We were not looking to swim, which was possibly the reason this tour did not go to these areas.  Amber Cove tour was very nice and informative, worth the money. Saint Maarteen, walk to the beach and shopping which was just okay.  Shows on the ship were very entertaining, comedian was funny and the special guess singer from Australia was very good. Overall the entertainment I would rate as excellent. Beautiful ship, and would definite recommend to others.

Room steward was good and attentive, however, English language was difficult to understand.

Ship tip

If you can afford to eat each night in the specialty restaurants go for it. If not each at the buffet for dinner, almost the same type of food is serve there as in the dining room with more selections at the Lido deck.

I been to St Thomas several times and enjoyed more in the past during my visits. Best bet, rent a car for the time in port and you can see and do more. Avis and Budget located at the cruise terminal.
