Review summary

It's been years since I last cruised, but I do remember having a lot more fun in the past.  The wait staff was superb, our cabin steward was invisible but did an excellent job, the entertainment was what one would expect (meh), and the cruise director's staff was mixed: some looked and acted engaged, others seemed to be, or want to be, elsewhere.  Even though it was after winter break, there were a significant number of families with kids and I felt the activities were all geared to them. We traveled with two other couples who felt the same way.

Lots of offerings, not many that were appealing to our age group, 55+.

I was surprised to see some areas in need of serious repair given that the ship is less than a year old.

Ship tip

If you're traveling with a small group, as we did, it's wise to make arrangements for dining preferences in advance. We opted for anytime dining, but the maitre d' accommodated our request for a specific table at a specific time every night.
