Regal Princess

Ship: Regal Princess

Cabin type: Balcony

Cabin number: E402

Review summary

E402 was an obstructed balcony and that is why we were able to enjoy TWO weeks on Regal instead of 7 days. The room was small but totally adequate with LOTS of storage.  loved the set up with closet dividing room. The bathroom is totally the smallest we have had in 14 cruises BUT it worked too.  Everyone fussed about the center stairs...THEY WERE RIGHT!  It made getting up or down after 7th floor rough.  The guests on Princess were the only problem. They just could not wait for the next elevator...it only takes a minute folks.  Stop crowding and stepping on people in the elevator.  Crews EVERYWHERE were WONDERFUL!  Food was exceptional as was service in Traditional dining Allegra. NICE Two weeks

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Allegra was great and service was exceptional. Crown Grill was supberb

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
For us Royal Caribbean does a much better job than this specific ship. But was okay laid back activities. Don't get your newsletter until each morning instead of the night before in order to plan the day. Book excursions BEFORE getting on board. Works great

Entertainment

The comedians were super good and the lady that did impressions! sound was AWFUL. wHy can't Princess turn down the volume and let you enjoy the shows? Voice of the ocean show had a great winner...He could really sing and the Hotel Director said he would hire him tomorrow

Children's Programs

didn't use. Few children on board

Service and Staff

Flora and Gede in dining were fabulous. As were the Serbian men Dragan & Alex. Horizon did great and the crew could not have been nicer. Soooo friendly and pleasant SPA super expensive. $65-70 for simple pedicure

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I wish there was a 10 on this. ship is beautiful. Horizon is kept spotless and good food. All halls and floors are spotless as everyone is constantly cleaning. Staff works soooo hard. Would I sail Regal again, probably

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Fresh and beautifully decorated. Everything was close but very usable. We really enjoyed the new release movies offered. There really was little to do on board and we rested and watched a bunch of GOOD MOVIES. Felix our steward the first week and Ceasar the second week were both fantastic. Thank you guys, you kept our room beautifully! Staff is constantly cleaning inside and outside....on balcony too.

Ship tip

If you want an easier way to get around a large ship, book your stateroom close to the forward or rear stair/elevators. Using the center elevators was so time consuming. Best pictures we have had produced on a cruise (14) so that tells you how GOOD the photography department was. Staff FANTASTIC

Ports of call

Ft. Lauderdale (Port Everglades), Florida

Don't get there early.. 11 or later otherwise you stand outside in line. After getting in the door GREAT. Very organized and we had luggage very quickly. Park and GO was great to use. You park your car, they get your luggage and deliver/pick you up at ship. Good service...will always use from now on

Princess Cays (Cruise Line Private Island)

Went shopping and enjoyed the shopping closest to the ship. Pretty and convenient. Water taxi is $7 each ALL day round trip. Crowded on shore with 5 ships in Port
