Review summary

Just got back Tuesday evening from Regal Princess on a 10 day cruise. Our 14th cruise, first with Princess. Too much inequality that is on this ship everywhere. They have cabanas on public space that they charge extra for. Princess also doesn't promote diversity. There were only a hand fill of blacks, children and younger adults. Sorry but the world is not all white seniors. Not enough entertainment and dancing venues. The food was just ok. Many problems with cabin, that after many calls to guest services desk never got resolved. We doubt if we will ever cruise with Princess again. Like always we met wonderful cruisers from all over the world. Australia, Scotland, Canada, California and NYC. Thank you to our new friends. If it wasn't for you our cruise would be a total disaster. FYI: A cabana in the Sanctuary was $3,000.00 for the day!

There was a cabana in the Sanctuary where you get anything you want for the day for up to 4 people. Food, drinks, large screen tv, slippers, etc for $3,000.00. Princess like other cruise ship started charging $5.00 extra

for a dinner in a special restaurant years ago. I knew it would be downhill from there. Now, they charge you for any little thing.

For most people, not having a lot of children on a cruise is a HUGE PLUS.  Even parents, if they had a choice, would leave their kids at home!  There were no children on the ship because school is in session and fewer young people were on the ship because they were home watching their children.  More older people on board?  Well, I am assuming that your cruise left from Florida and lots of people from The Villages take cruises, particularly when children are in school.

I get what this guy is trying to say. First time also for us on princess and I doubt we will be back. I think what he means is that the sanctuary was not worth the price, whatever it may have been. The shows i think were absolutely Fantastic, but after the shows, there was not much else to do unless you gamble. Not much happening in the disco as most people just went to bed i guess (being more seniors on board)

A lot of people lost there's lives for diversity then there is people like this with no skin in the game that keep racism going

A few years back we were on one of the Princess ship for a 7 nights Caribbean Cruise, at a rough estimate, there must be more than 300 Black American Christian group on board. Last Summer we were on a fortnight Mediterranean Cruise with Emerald Princess at a rough estimate there were at least 70% cruisers were over 65. IMHO diversity was never an issue with Princess. p.s. My family thoroughly enjoyed both our cruises....May there be more to come!

Please let us know how Princess could promote diversity? Give special rates to special people? Would I qualify because I'm tall?

We travelled on the Regal on Aug 31- Sept 11/15 We have an amazing cruise the staff, crew & the food were the best. As for your cabana costing 3,000.00 I would really check that. The only complaint I have is I gained weight.

you have no idea what you are talking about. ..should I say 7%

we also just returned Tuesday from that cruise and your right about everything but the price of the cabana it was only $ 420 per day.

Also just returned from the Regal Princess 10 day cruise. You are very much mistaken on the price of the cabana's. The Sanctuary was an amazing experience chosen at the end of our cruise, and I plan on returning to Princess as well as the Regal.

I can understand that not everybody has a perfect experience. But hate when people exaggerate things to a point of nonsense. I've cruised Royal, and Norwegian also. And yes the average age is higher on princess. Just the way it is. Princess doesn't discriminate. Been on Regal last year and going back in 3 weeks. Love the ship and service and food was great

I think more than a clown problem

boldpro    9 years ago

of course it is it maybe this clown should have thought about that before I posted this

terry115    9 years ago

It is still a free country for all

boldpro    9 years ago

are you kidding I've been on the ship it is great maybe would you should do is invite those people who you feel will diversify the ship and of course you will pay for them

What? Cabanas in the sanctuary $3000 a day is completely false. Try $150 per day or close to it. As far as diversity, why is that the cruise lines fault. We were a group of 28 African Americans and found so many more on the ship. Our very own Roselda even won Voice of the sea. Food was excellent. Love Princess.

Love Princess cruises the best

jazel57    9 years ago

I second that, we too loved Princess!

dcaland2001    9 years ago

Wow. You had a totally different cruise that I had on the Regal. I loved the Regal Princess. The ship, food and the crew were among the best. I cannot believe a cabana was $3000. a day. Better check that again. I do not believe any cruise line would deny any race, religion, gender or age(other than kids) to book a cruise on their ships. When booking my cruises I am never ask my race. I would have to assume you just went on the cruise and if there weren't any kids I think that would be because they are in school. I guess I will never meet you, as I love Princess cruises.

At this time of year, children are in school and non-retirees are working. If you cruise during June and July you will see younger adults and kids

jazel57    9 years ago

no I really doubt a cabana would be $3000.00. We just sailed the Royal & had a great time. How does a cruise ship promote diversity? Any cruise ship is available to anyone who can & wants to sail.

Its not all white?

rendezvoussam    9 years ago

NO WAY! Are you absolutely sure it's $3,000.00 per day!!!!!!
