Review summary
We have only cruised on Princess and are too happy with it to "try" a different cruise line. This being our 4th cruise, we were so looking forward to cruising on the newest ship in the fleet. The Regal was beautiful, the food in the dining rooms were spectacular and the shows and entertainment were fantastic!! I found it very unusual that I could not access a stairwell from the 5th, 6th and 7th floor to our rooms just off the elevator on the 8th floor. We would have to go to the back or front of the boat to use the stairs to go down or up 1 floor, or use a very crowded elevator. We also found the buffet the same every day and so spread out that it did not leave a great impression. It also seemed to close at 11pm which was too early in my opinion.. There was only 1 choice for something to eat after that and it was refrigerated sandwiches and desserts. Sometimes we just wanted something a little more. Service has always been great (although sometimes seemed confused).. Your cruise director staff is the BEST... Ryan is great, Robbie, Armando and Robert (your newest member and I so enjoyed talking to him----really you are lucky to have him) are all assets... We really loved MARTIN.... We saw him everywhere, so personable and he was funnier than the comedians (who were also great) after all the shows...... We also loved the casino where there was one stand out ---- this was Joe the casino waiter --- He remembered us from the first day of the cruise, what we liked to drink and always left us with the best impression. He gave us the exceptional and personal service that we expect from Princess, and so enjoyed hearing a little about him.---- He would make an excellent bartender!!!!! I would recommend this cruise for anyone even with the things I didn't like.. And look up Joe, the casino waiter----he really is great!!!!
Sincerely,
