Review summary

The cruise was an eleven day transitional cruise from Hawaii onto Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. This was the longest cruise I have ever taken. I found it relaxing and enjoyable. At first, I didn’t think that I wanted to take a cruise that was that long. Once I got on that ship I forgot all my cares and troubles, just kept busy relaxing and having fun.

Embarkation

It was easy. They checked my embarkation documents, and off I went.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The main dining room buffet was good, as far as having a good selection of food. The only problem was keeping the food hot. The service from their staff was impeccable. We went to Sambra Grill for Brazilian food. It was a great experience. Food and service was great. The buffet offered an incredible variety of food. Again, it is difficult to keep food hot when you are serving a large number of people.

Onboard Activities

Used pool area and fitness center, and also miniature golf. Had fun and there’s plenty to keep you busy.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The musicians were top notch, the singers and dancers were incredibly talented. The comedian was very funny. I enjoyed all the shows and movies.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Kusumu is an excellent room steward. He went out of his way to make sure that I was happy with my room. It was always clean and neat. Rama and Arianne were our waiters in the main dining room. They just brightened our day, and made our dining room experience fun. There service can’t be beat.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
It was the first time on Radiance of the Seas. It didn’t take long to find our way around . The ship is designed to get around from floor to floor, and to get to your destination fast and easily.

Cabin / Stateroom

I initially booked a window room, but once I got onboard and saw my brother’s balcony room, I decided to switch to a balcony for myself. The crew at customer service worked hard to get me that balcony room on the 8th deck level. Thank you to them for being so helpful and patient with me.

Ship tip

Just relax and have fun.
