Q: Hi. Im sure this question has been asked before so sorry. Has anyone been on an Alaskan crusie before during our cruise dates? If so, are the temps almost unbearable on the ship’s exterior?

A: I sailed in September. It was cool at night. You will want a jacket or sweater. Might not be shorts weather. Just check your ports before you pack. You can do 10 day at a glance on most weather apps. Then pack accordingly. Layers work!

A: We sailed in late May this year and had amazingly clear, sunny, warm weather the whole trip. Highs in the mid 70s every day. We enjoyed swimming in the pool on deck while we were in Ketchikan and Skagway. Our whole trip was Hawaiian shirt weather for... me. Temperatures vary by month and at the whim of the weather gods. Also, different cruisers have varying ideas on what is bearable or not. Dress in layers — shirt, sweatshirt, jacket for the cooler days. Bring a warm hat and gloves, but also sunglasses and binoculars. When the ship is underway, the wind across the deck can cool you down and it is always colder when you are close to a glacier. Expect rain. Enjoy any sun you get.See More

A: Yes, If your trip is Southbound cruise tour, you have land tour first then you will have to do testing up 2 days before then and before boarding ship. If Northbound and you flight into Vancouver Canada you have to test before flight, possibly again t... o board ship, if doing land tour again.See More

Q: In May will be flying to Vancouver to do back to back on the radiance of the sea. My question is; is there somewhere to get a Covid test in Vancouver? or does Royal Caribbean give Covid test at the port? Where can I find out this question?

A: We also are on the Radiance on the 10, your second leg. We get on in Seward. I hope you get an answer. Even the roll call is very slow.

A: We too are doing back to back on Radiance. From online research several places in Vancouver do Covid testing. Prices vary according to agency, if you do antigen or PCR test, if you can do supervised online test etc. I have emailed Royal Caribbean o... n requirements for sailing in and out of Canadian port as their website only lists US port requirements at this time. Waiting for a response from Royal Caribbean..See More
