Review summary

Loved the ship. Enjoyed the awesome food, and the staff made everyone welcomed. Get to know when/where the Friends of Dorothy meet, or ensure you are up early to enjoy some of the lectures the cruise line offers. (lost hours every night as we were going need to gain them back at some point! lol)

For my first experience doing anything with a cruiseline, I must say that the check-in process for Cunard was extraordinary. It was a very quick and easy process from airport pick-up, to drop-off at the port.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The dining rooms were fabulous, as well as the dining stewards and bars. Coffee was superb as well.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Not much activities to do on a Crossing. Best thing was the spa everyday.

4 out of 5
The live show each night started slow, however towards the end of the week, the Dance Troupe became much more entertaining.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Had nothing but excellent service from all staff. All were very friendly and went out of the way to ensure everyone had a great time.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Even though the ship had only been 'sailing' a little over a year, there was already some wear and tear in the hallway carpets.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was excellent. Always clean, and ready for use.

Ship tip

Know where G32 is right away, and get to know your drink staff!

Ports of call

Brooklyn, New York Did not visit port

went directly onto ship.

Southampton (London), England Did not visit port

got directly onto bus for Heathrow.

Didn't know what to expect, however didn't expect the long disembarkation from getting into port until the time we were allowed off the ship.
