Review summary

First and last time on a Cunard ship. They are worn and a bit shabby. The food was boring and bland. Curse of going British even though Cunard is owned by carnival cruise lines. The crowd is ancient and slow moving. With so many 90+ year old passengers at least the ship was quiet.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Boring bland food crying out for seasoning

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Trivia except many of the questions were so obscure only a Brit would know the answer

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Britannia dining room staff excellent - out cabin steward seem harried and doing the work of 3

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Ok but this ship is old and tired like it’s passengers who still imagine queen Elizabeth walking the halls

Cabin / Stateroom

2 out of 5
Great cabin as a standard cabin but we paid for the mini suite category which really provided nothing but access to the separate dining room.

Ship tip

Don’t fall for any upgrade offers.
