Don’t get tied up with the poor reviews on this boat. We had a great cruise last week, despite missing Nagoya due to typhoon Soulik.
It is true the Chinese culture is very different from our own, but I can’t help feeling those leaving from Southampton feel the same about us Brits. On Quantum you get get plenty of space in the bars as the Chinese just don’t use them, the bionic rebots lay largely idle all week.
The only downside being the offering of English speaking excursions which was very poor. I would recommend making your own arrangements.
This boat has loads to do, we know having spent 5 of our 7 days at sea due to dodging typhoons.
A great way to sea Shanghai and Japan whilst getting the quality of RCCL.
