The ship was fine. Getting on and off the boat was not fine....too much security.....and a lot of wasted time standing around......not something I like having to pay for! The final day trying to leave the ship was a disaster! Crowds of people....and more than 45 minutes to get off!!! It made no sense at all!

Food and Dining

The food tasted ok...but service was terrible!!! More than once we had to wait 30 -45 minutes to even get an appetizer after placing the order. You could not get through the phone lines to make reservations, so we would have to wait till late at night to eat. If you chose to eat at the buffet...coffee machines were often out of milk, and tables were full of dishes left from other people.

My son did not participate very much, but his cousins had a great time.

Only in Cagneys....did we find good service for dinner....and there we tipped extra....because we were so excited to finally have a nice dining experience!

Some common restrooms were a mess at times. The decor was a bit much for me.....not what I would call classy...that's for sure.

For the price...compared to a hotel that would cost the same amount or even much less.....it was very small...and not nearly as nice! Service was not near the level of that found in most nice hotels. Pillows were rock hard, as was the bed. I made up the bed most days, and supplies in the room were not re-stocked, nor were dirty dishes removed..unless we put them out in the hallway. Noises on the floor above us every morning woke us up early.....even if I was wearing ear plugs...they were that loud. Not only were the noises from above....but from the docks below....loading...unloading supplies...etc once in port. Thank goodness for ocean waves to help you fall asleep and drown out sounds of kids running up and down halls....etc...
We did the Captain Zodiac snorkel cruise with the whole family (15 of us). Everyone loved this....and it was probably the highlight of the whole trip for most people in the family!
