Review summary

The ship itself was very nice. Plenty of room in the cabin (5510). Clean, nice pool area.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food was good, but the "freestyle" dining was problematic. Need to make sure you get your dinner reservations for the restaurants (if you don't want to eat in the buffet) first day on board the ship. Otherwise, impossible to get a reservation. We ate in the main dining room and two of the speciality restaurants and all the food was very good.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Shows in the main theater were very good. We enjoyed them a lot. As usual, shore excursions were overpriced compared to what you could get on the pier.....this is to be expected however.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Average at best. Hate to say it, but the American staff of the ship cannot hold a candle to the foreign staff of other cruise lines. Service very average at best. Food left on tables for quite some time. However, in fairness, we did hear that the ship had 90 open positions for staff that were not filled. Nonetheless, service was not very good.

Cabin / Stateroom

Size of the room was sufficient for the class of room we purchased in comparison with other ships we sailed on.

Take the helicopter ride.......it was the highlight of the trip!!
Don't Miss: Helicopter ride!!

Pros: Seeing 4 islands without having to pack and unpack; ship was very nice

Cons: Service on board the ship not nearly as good as other cruises I've taken
