It was a very nice cruise. No question the guides can make or break an excursion. I think we did ok other than 1 guide who was very young and minimal experience. The food on the ship was just ok. We've done two cruises post-pandemic so maybe this is the new normal? - hope not. This was a good way to see Hawaii given this was our first trip there. Gave us a flavor and helped us determine where to visit upon our return someday.

Very little wait time
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Main dining room was not a good experience - very slow service and the food was less than par. We ate once and did not return.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
Plenty to do on a ship of that size
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Liked the magician and comedian - the dance acts, not so much
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff was great, very friendly and helpful
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
A bit old and probably could use a makeover - but all-in-all a good experience
Cabin / Stateroom

It was nice but as expected, small. The shower was the most difficult to navigate.
Ship tip
The food was just OK. Nothing to get excited about. The one specialty we tried (Steakhouse) was excellent. By far the best food and service. Difficult to make "reasonable" reservation times.
We did the Road to Hana tour via the ship. While the scenery is beautiful, the road was still closed due to landslide. Tour is long and not really sure it's worth it. We also did the Maui Gold Pineapple tour, it was excellent - guides were awesome
I agree about your comments on Road to Hani. It is a very long day. Some interesting things, but I'm not sure if it is the best option.
We have experienced slower food service since the pandemic on another cruise line, but so far, not on NCL. Sorry, the serve was slow.
I like to think of the Pride of America as a floating hotel.
