Review summary

Very expensive cruise and just didn't feel like the value was there. Being post Covid being disappointed is a common thing these days, you just don't get what you paid for anymore.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Great, we had a suite so we got extra service in this area.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Went to several of the specialty dinning rooms and the food was average, the brazilian steakhouse was poor at best and actually made my mom sick. The best food was at one of the free dinning areas, Skylines. Cagney's steakhouse was good but it was specialty dinning at an extra charge.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
Not allot to do on this ship but the good news is you're not on the ship allot but to eat and sleep.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
again, not allot of choices here that we were interested in. The Polynesian show was good.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Some good and some bad.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Had a sewer smell in our rooms somedays that wasn't nice. Again, we paid for a suite.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Overall good except for the sewer smell in the room at times. It would have been nice if they would have taken away an extra foot of balcony and gave it to the shower. Balcony was huge and nice.

Ship tip

Book your own shore excursions and stay out of the specialty dinning areas.

Thanks for sharing! We were booked in a suite for an upcoming trip and just canceled it. We will most likely book on the 13 day Celebrity Edge Hawaiian cruise.

Yes - we’ve done this cruise twice (in 2005 & 2007). Our experience back then was great itinerary, terrible ship. The second time NCL messed up our air reservations and we wound up having to buy new tickets last minute. We are planning a Hawaii cruise for January and I won’t even look at the Pride of America as an option.

LOL, it’s not a post-COVID thing. This ship has been disappointing passengers for almost 20 years. You can read thousands of reviews of previous passengers shocked how poor this cruise is.

Sounds about average for the ship.

Sorry you were disappointed with some of your cruise. Great itinerary, did you do any excursions? Thanks for sharing your experience.

I think the main selling point of this ship is the itinerary but you didn’t rate the ports that highly and didn’t give any reason, would have been helpful to get more info on that area.
