Review summary

There are other cruises that are more enjoyable and a better value for the money than cruising Hawaii. But this is perhaps the only way to see the spectacular Napali coastline; be sure to get a balcony on port side so you can view it from your room rather than standing at the rail for an hour.

Buffet and main dining rooms were just okay. Cagney's specialty restaurant is superb! and Teppanyaki if a tasty, fun show. Other specialty restaurants were closed due to lack of staff.

Onboard Activities

Water volleyball against uniformed crew was fun and the gym is good. Nothing else appealed.

Entertainment

Worst shows and soloists of the four Norwegian cruises I've taken.

Service and Staff

Everyone had a really good attitude and service orientation despite fact that most people on the included food or beverage packages don't give extra tips.

Ship Quality

No carpet or wall marking to help you figure out fore/aft like some of their other ships have. Was constantly lost.

Cabin / Stateroom

Not nearly as nice as comparable cabin on their newer ships. Spacious enough but icky bathroom with shower curtain and handheld shower that wouldn't point into the shower.
