Review summary

Incredibly over priced way to see the islands. You would be better off flying to the islands then creating your own itinerary and island hopping on your own.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food completely lacked variety in the buffet area, one day was the same as the next. The extra dining options were nothing special but priced as if they were the best restaurant in the world, which, for the record, they were not.

My daughter loved the Entourage club, but then again, she just wanted to be with other kids, so it wasn't hard to make her happy.

Ship Quality

In the evenings, my wife and I would take a walk around the deck to get some exercise and help our dinners digest. You could smell the sewer. Every night. Great way to ruin a nice night.

Cabin / Stateroom

The staff kept it clean enough, just not much room. For 6k U.S. you would think you would get more than what we had, but no. As with everything on this cruise, highly over priced and not worth it.

Ship tip

Don't.

This was our starting point. Beautiful city, easy to walk around, great food.

Kahului, Maui

We took two excursions on Maui. The Malikini Crater Snorkel tour and a Whale Watching tour. Both were fantastic, and my family loved them. Great island to visit.

Hilo, Hawaii

We had a great excursion on this stop, doing the Zipline through Paradise excursion. Wonderful.

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

Perfect little city, gorgeous port, and a great excursion on Captain Zodiacs Raft Adventure and Snorkel tour.

Nawiliwili, Kauai

Might have been our favorite island. So beautiful!! The Journey to Waimea Canyon was absolutely breathtaking. Highly recommend.

Cruise Napali Coast, Kauai

Beautiful little cruise as a farewell to the islands, was absolutely stunning, but unfortunately, it was cloudy and raining, so it hampered the view a bit.

I agree that the cruise was terribly overpriced considering the condition of the ship and the low quality food in the dining and buffet areas that was offered. We each paid approximately $ 650.00 CDN per night for a balcony suite. After having done a cruise to the Baltics with Ceiebrity this past fall that cost far less, this cruise ship paled in comparison. I think NCL is really taking advantage of its customers.

You sailed during the most popular, high demand weeks of the year, so of course it’s going to be expensive. You could go for less than half of that price during the off-season.

If you sailed during Christmas week like your sailing date suggests, then of course it will be high. I went in early November and it cost less than any land based options. My suggestion, never go during any holiday.

Been on this cruise twice, loved it both times. We came in from Michigan and it didn’t cost us any 6000$ to go on the cruise.
