Review summary

Do not book this cruise. Huge disappointment. If you do go, don't spend more than $1000pp and rent a car and book your own excursions. Ship sucked in every way.

Absolutely would do this cruise again!! It gives you a good taste of all the islands. IMO, the only way to see Hawaii! Food, transportation, all provided. No island hopping...just unpack once..but there are some people who can't be pleased. Could be you fall in this category.

Previous responses by others all true. We love this cruise and go for 7th time in few more weeks. Always had good food and great service. No way you can visit all the island destinations by air (wasting hours in airports), food, hotel s, views, etc. for close to the cruise price. And only unpack once. American labor laws restrict workers hours and minimum pay. If they had more staff, rates would be way higher. All ship supplies from food and beverage to fuel has to come from 2500 miles away. We get it. Love being at sea mostly at night and in a port each day. It is about Hawaii.

I can’t imagine being miserable in Hawaii on any type of ship / boat. This cruise is about the itinerary and not the ship. There are hundreds of reviews on this and other sites describing the ship, so I’m not sure why the OP was surprised. If you want a newer ship, there are several 15 - 16 day round trip cruises to Hawaii from the West Coast.

No excuse for being surprised at what anyone could find out with the least bit of reading. Yes the ship is older and smaller without the bling and frills of newer ships. Nothing special about the entertainment. No gambling because it is not international waters. American crew so the service is not great. It's just like all the reviews say it is. But if you want the best island itenerary in the world then this is it. Just please read at least one review so you don't have to bash a cruise that just claims to be what it is and you don't look so uninformed.

If you bid on upgrades they usually give obstructed views or rooms with bad locations, because they want your good room to resell.

Wow... I'm sorry you had a bad experience. Normally, you can read about the cabins before you make your selection and it usually says "obstructed" balcony stating that your view will be obstructed.

Sorry you did not enjoy. I've cruised the POA to the islands and really enjoyed. Our balcony was as large as any other cruise ships I've been on. I guess different strokes for different folks.

I read your review, and you didn’t do any research on this cruise. They don’t allow gambling on the cruise ship. And you didn’t see the entertainment director strange I’ve been on many cruises and always seen them!
