Trip of a lifetime. Would love to do it again with a group of friends or family. Great way to see the islands. Thank you.

Embarkation

The only glitch was that one of our bags was late getting to our room. Evidently they were going to put us in a different room but the ship was fully booked.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Very much enjoyed the Waikiki Bar on deck 13, especially bartenders Kyle and Josh. Teppanyaki, Moderno and Cagney's Steakhouse were all very good, Cagney's was our favorite. Regular dining mostly at Skyline, it was always very nice. Cadillac Diner is good for a quick bite and Key West by the main pool has good burgers and dogs. Aloha Cafe buffet is decent as buffet food goes, the omelet station is worthwhile, but it's always really crowded and difficult to get around. Go early if you can.

Napa Wine Bar

5 out of 5

Wine tasting on Friday at 2pm is worth it. Only $19, generous pours and good pairing info from our beverage master.

Skyline Restaurant

5 out of 5

Best place to dine on the ship outside of specialty restaurants. Great views too if you can get a window table.

Cadillac Diner

5 out of 5

Great little spot for a quick bite.

Mardi Gras Cabaret Lounge & Nightclub

5 out of 5

See the comedy show. Great venue.

Teppanyaki

4 out of 5

Not quite the level of a Benihana, but close. Great food.

Waikiki Bar

5 out of 5

Best bar and friendliest staff on the ship. Great views from aft of the ship. Thanks, Kyle and staff for the great conversations!

Pink's Champagne Bar

4 out of 5

Piano lounge, very roomy.

John Adam's Coffee Bar

5 out of 5

Great coffee and cocktails. Good gathering point.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
My wife liked the fitness center. We both enjoyed the mile walk around deck 6. Pools and spas always clean and warm.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Comedy show was great. Didn't attend any others. Watched some parts on the activities channel in the room.

Children's Programs

No kids attended.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Room steward Marguerite was great, helped us locate our missing luggage the first night. Waikiki Bar on deck 13 was our favorite, great staff there. Restaurant staff were all very nice and attentive. Overall just a great experience.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
Restrooms were all very well kept, only had one mess observed the entire cruise. Everything was easily accessible from stairs and elevators, rarely had to wait long.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Of course would like a bit more room, but didn't spend a lot of time in the room other than rest or sleep. Adequate for that. Not enough channels on TV, couldn't watch football unless we went to one of the bars.

Ship tip

Waikiki Bar on deck 13 aft is the spot for great drinks, meeting new friends and awesome staff.

Ports of call

Honolulu, Oahu

4 out of 5
Only there to arrive and depart by plane and ship. Seems a lot like Southern California.

Kahului, Maui

5 out of 5
Maui is great. Did Best of Maui first day and Atlantis Submarine the second day. Both were excellent.

Hilo, Hawaii

5 out of 5
Beautiful scenery, took the Best of Hilo excursion. Cousin Earl was a great driver/narrator.

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

5 out of 5
Kona Mocha excursion is very cool. Again had Cousin Earl as our guide. Visited Ola Brewing and Kona Brewing in town afterwards. Great food and awesome brews at each. We tendered ashore in lifeboats to this port.

Nawiliwili, Kauai

5 out of 5
Kailua River and Fern Grotto is worth your time, boat ride up the river is fun. Luau and plantation tour is nice. Luau show made it all worthwhile. Kauai is gorgeous. Directors Cut tour on Friday was our favorite excursion of the trip. Get up early and go. Auntie Alicia was a great guide. Best lunch and ice cream of the trip in Hanalei.

Cruise Napali Coast, Kauai

5 out of 5
Absolutely gorgeous coastline. View from Waikiki Bar was incredible. Port side is best but that bar is the back of the boat so no bad views. Great ending to a memorable week.

Disembarkation

Buffet was packed in the morning. I'd suggest getting there at opening to avoid crowds. You have until 9am to leave. Most restaurants that serve breakfast are open by 6am or 7am. Cadillac Diner is 24 hours.
