Review summary

The cruise is designed to be in Hawaii. The ship is not a destination. However, food was good and there was plenty of options. The ship was clean. Shows were good (not great). This is a great way to see more than one Island. Cabins were on the small side, but not a lot of time spent in room so it's manageable. My only complaints are the price is high and staff is not great.

It def is all about the itinerary. We have done this cruise 3 times on pride of Hawaii, pride of aloha and pride of america. I have been on nicer ships and better service but nothing beats that itinerary. It is expensive for 7 days though

That's a fair review. Supply and Demand economy at work. With an amazing itenerary but not that many guests they can get away with a smaller older ship at inflated prices. The Jones Act requires an American crew for that itenerary so that's where the crew attitude comes from. But it's actually pretty decent overall.
