We had a great time in Hawaii. Loved seeing all the islands. The ship was nice and felt less crowded than other cruises. Food was good everywhere on the ship. Staff was good but the bartenders were slow!
POA is a good ay to see Hawaii quickly and efficiently.
Embarkation
4 out of 5
We boarded around 3pm to give us time to see the island in the morning. Fairly quick boarding process.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was good everywhere. We mostly ate at Liberty and Skyline and East meets West as we did not want to pay for meals. We live in northern NJ and great restaurants of all types are everywhere where we live.
Bartenders were slow. The bars were not crowded but the workers were slow and often delivered one drink at a time if ordering multiple drinks, meaning we had to wait another few minutes to get second drink.
Onboard Activities
4 out of 5
The bands playing around the ship were good. We also saw a magic show which was fine and the magician was funny. We did not go to any of the big theatre shows.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Enjoyed the music by the pool. You could actually get a chair and hear the band and play in the pool at the same time- rare for the other cruises i have been on.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Waiters, room stewards and front desk were great. Bartenders were really SLOW.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Ship was small and clean. It felt much less crowded than any cruise i have been on. Never had to wait long for an elevator. Deck never got crowded. Get your restaurant reservations in early if you need to eat at specific times or places.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
Small cabin for 3 people. Enjoyed having the balcony which as on the port side. Great views all week especially of the Napali coast.
Our least favorite island. Honolulu was crowded and kind of dirty. Pearl Harbor is a must see if you can get tickets and drive there as you don't need to pay for an excursion.
Maui is beautiful as we also spent a week there after the cruise. Woke up early to see the sunrise on top of the volcano, it was beautiful and i as glad not to be driving in the dark at 3am when we were still exhausted on east coast time. Also did snorkeling at Molikina creator which was disappointing as it was CROWDED like a Wallmart parking lot.
Beautiful area. Did the Hoppa on Hoppa off bus tour which is not part of the cruise. I am not a shopper so we went to see the volcano national park and it was cool.
