I really don’t understand these negative reviews that make no mention of the fact that they are in Hawaii? If your entire focus is the cruise then don’t go on Pride of America if you want to see Hawaii in one week then definitely take the ship and disregard the negative comments that do not even address the destination.

We had heard negative comments like above but were pleasantly surprised at the good to wonderful service everywhere, solid excursions,nice not glitzy public rooms, and plenty of space everywhere except some very small balcony cabins and a way too crowded Aloha Buffet in the morning. You need to research the cabins, make backup MDR reservations before you go, and research the beautiful ports the cruise visits and put together the trip you want. No, the food is not as good as HAL or Celebrity but either MDR had good fish and lamb, soups, salads, spring rolls, excellent fresh fruit and we quickly learned how to order a good breakfast there too. They have wonderful Belgium waffles with bananas in syrup. The comedian Michael S.. was the best we have ever seen.

We've been on this ship and Itinerary three times in the past four years and it's been our favorite itinerary of the 10 cruises we've been on. You can't compare it to other cruise lines. This one is not about the ship, it's about the destination. It's all about attitude. If you have a negative attitude you're going to have a negative experience. Understand, you are in Hawaii, one of the most beautiful destinations on earth. The ship is just your method of transportation only at night except for the last day. People, please don't panic. It can be the best trip of your life with the right attitude. We will be doing it again without any hesitation. ❤❤❤

We had a great time on Pride of America. Lei making. South Pacific dancers in show. Rented a car on each island. Nothing to complain about!

Click on the name of the ship and look at the reviews. Most of them are very good. And if you look at the shipmate with the bad review, nothing listed under his profile.

We went Nov 2017. No complaints. Staff were enthusiastic from start to finish, even continued the welcome aboard party in pouring rain. I would definitely book POA again.

Think of this ship as a floating hotel, nothing more. It is the itinerary that is amazing! My family of 4 had a great time and enjoyed every minute.

We didn’t have any complaints when we were on POA. What could have been so bad? We would definitely travel on that ship anytime. To be on vacation in Hawaii is 5 stars for me. 🌝

Yes, we have booked too and are waiting to hear too! We have never been on NCL and have read several bad reviews and now wondering if it’s worth it, we only paid the dollar deposit so no loss if we cancel
