Review summary

Hawaii and Norwegian should do better - the ports they take you to are ugly and disgusting and a huge disappointment

Service and Staff

most of your employees are extremely polite, nice, and helpful. However, some employees pretend to not see you and ignore you - for example, in the dining areas and especially at the bars - considering I am paying for each drink and a tip is being force-charged, your bartenders should be way more attentive!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
our cabin was spotlessly clean and our beds were so comfortable - our steward was so sweet and responsive. However, we had a room with a window that was so dirty and weathered that we could barely see anything out of it.

Ship tip

Go to the shows, they are top-notch !

Ports of call

Honolulu, Oahu

5 out of 5

Kahului, Maui

what an ugly welcome to a beautiful island - the port is disgusting and you have to walk through this gross building that is dirty and smells like urine - what a huge disappointment when you are expecting to pull into a tropical paradise! No nice beaches in walking distance - we walked to the "beaches" and they were hard to get to and covered with trash

Hilo, Hawaii

2 out of 5
Ugly disgusting port area - too scary to walk anywhere

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

5 out of 5
I would much rather take a tender to a beautiful area than port at an ugly, industrial, smelly scary place!

Nawiliwili, Kauai

2 out of 5
ugly, industrial port, very disappointing

Focusing on the ports seems odd when those ports are in Hawaii???

Docks are not under control of cruise ships, State harbors are. Like airlines and airports.

We cruised in February on POA. We rented a car and were able to see the beauty that was Maui and Kauai. We didn’t care where we docked. We stayed aboard in Hilo. It was so nice having most of the ship to ourselves. We loved the tender in Kona.

These are not ports built for passengers. Ports are small due available space and are first transporting supplies between islands. We found them good and people helpful.
