Excellent! Very romantic cruise for us. Recommend buying the online 10 pictures and get one free or even a larger package. They had great settings for pictures almost every night. Well worth the money! The photography staff were very helpful and professional. I recommend booking most of your excursions with NCL unless your excursion is something special with another tour group. They do these cruises weekly and they know what works and what doesn't . I suggest you allow relaxation time on the ship instead of all day excursions each day especially when you are adjusting to a 5 or 6 hour time zone change.

Food and Dining

Breakfast buffet was good. Lunch and dinner buffet fair. Skyline and Liberty dinning were good. I encourage you to .make your reservations once you know your plans for the day. We had the 3 meal specialty dining. Cagney's Steakhouse, Moderno, and Teppanyaki. The food was delicious and they had great service. Moderno's waiters were AWESOME and made us feel real special on our 40th anniversary cruise when they served us a cake and sang the chorus of Let Me Call You Sweetheart! Price of mixed drinks a bit much!

Plenty of storage and room. Clean and comfortable. Our room had a refrigerator, ice bucket, and coffee pot. Loved having a king size bed even though there was a little unevenness in the center. Definitely recommend midship starboard side. We had no problems with noise in hallways or near stairs and elevators.
Ship tip
Make your reservations for dinning and shore excursions as early as possible. Don't over book excursions! Enjoy some relaxation time!
NCL Pearl Harbor with airport drop off. Very convenient for luggage and getting in and out of Pearl but way too long at the airport with drop off at 4:00pm. We flew out on Saturday night at 9:20 and almost everything in the airport was closed. If we had to do it over again we would get a room for Saturday in a less expensive hotel so we would have some where to go after Pearl to rest and shower for the LONG flight back. Even though you don't actually sleep in the room all night you have had an opportunity to rest and freshen up.
Road to Hana has 600 curves with 50 one lane bridges so traveling the beautiful mountainous road twice is a bit much. We booked with Temptation Tours and did the helicopter flight to Hana and the luxury van down the mountain. Wonderful combination and views. No motion sickness. This was a great option for us. It was worth the extra money! If you do the BEST OF MAUI I suggest you book with NCL. We booked with another company and we were very disappointed. Maui Tropical Plantation great for buying matching clothes for family pictures.
Thoroughly enjoyed the NCL excursion Hilo Coast & Botanical Gardens. It is classified as a Level 1 activity and I do not agree with the classification. Caution: If you have mobility issues. Steep decline on entrance and steep incline on exit. Golf cart can take you out the steep exit if needed. It is really beautiful with such things as tropical growth, radiant flowers, waterfalls, birds and then the HIGHLIGHT of the coastline. Be sure to make it to the coast! The excursion was only 3 hours so it was nice to have a relaxing afternoon on the boat.
NCL excursion Manor House & Kalamaku Show. The Manor House wasn't worth the extra money. I would recommend only booking the Kalamaku Show. NCL excursion The Director's Cut was very interesting. Loved going to the sites I had seen in movies. The bus driver did a great job with information about each site. The bus also had a TV and the driver would show clips from the movies for the different scenes as he would drive. I never knew Dragonfly with Kevin Kostner was filmed in Kauai! Kauai was my favorite location and best excursions. No building are above the height of the coconut trees so many WOW moments!
