Review summary

It was a great way to see multiple islands without the hassle of air travel, but was limiting in that you had brief periods of time on each island. Not sure if we would see Hawaii this way again.

Embarkation

Security for boarding the ship as well as the speed with which we were able to board were excellent.

Staying on OAHU after cruise

Kahului, Maui

4 out of 5
Loved the snorkeling and the sunset at Haleakala Crater. The bike ride down Haleakala was not a favorite.

Hilo, Hawaii

4 out of 5
Volcanoes National Park was spectacular, but we didn't get to spend enough time there.

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

3 out of 5
The Kona Mocha tour was interesting.

Nawiliwili, Kauai

4 out of 5
We only went to the luau at the Manor House which was fabulous. Wish we could have done more on the island, but the other excursions were sold out.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Very easy because we carried our own luggage.

The cruise gives you an introduction to ports. If you like something you return on an extended vacation. When we finally cruise Hawaii, I will be reversing what I just said. It will be both of our first cruise to Hawaii, but I have been there 8-10 times in first marriage. The Islands are so worth an extended stay!

I would see it again, just NOT with NCL.
