Review summary
This was my first cruise on Norwegian and it was quite good. As a graduation present to my granddaughter, it met the bill for visiting the majority of the islands and giving us sufficient time to do so. The check in and out was outstanding. The wait was not long and getting off with their easy off by taking your own bags was perfect for us. Getting on and off the ship at the ports was very good. Food was good and the ship is not so big that you find it overwhelming. Shore excursions were reasonable even though I had booked through another company, when I compared their prices to Norwegian, they were competitive. Staff friendly and service good. They had a program for 18-20 year olds which was perfect for our granddaughter as she connected with others her age and I knew she was safe as she stayed out way after our bedtime! On the flip side, they need to speed up their service in the main dining rooms. Main courses came in a timely manner, but the wait for desserts were at times excessive. Hours at the buffet could be extended especially for breakfast. All in all a wonderful experience for my granddaughter and a lovely time for us to make memories.

Ship tip
Our room was quiet and nicely located to get to either end of the ship. Book on the 8th so that there are no common spaces above or below you. Don't worry about reservations for the dining rooms. There were always tables in Liberty and Skylight. Might be tighter in East Meets West.
