Wonderful cruise, crew, and vacation!

Sail Date: October 10, 2015

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

We absolutely loved this cruise.  It is the 2nd time we've taken it, and hope to enjoy it again.  The staff was excellent, competent, friendly, and many were downright fun, adding to our experience rather than just serving us.  Just a few notes of things we missed:

*night cruise past Big Island's live volcano eruption

*anniversary cake (ordered, confirmed order, but no sight of it)(we saw other cabins leave their plate outside their doors so we know these were provided to others)

*available recipes for some of the soups (chilled soups were incredible, muselix cereal)

*seems like some of the announcements could have been grouped or shorter.  We don't need to know about every event - that's what the newsletter is for!

Some of the things we loved:

*announcement about the Napali coastline

*welcoming registration process & entertainment (so organized, yet personalized)

*options for workout, walking on board

*daily newsletters and info

*water & washcloth returning from day trips to boat

Cabin / Stateroom
Pricey but very much enjoyed.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Wow! Organized, comfortable, quick. Really appreciated being about to carry our own bags from hall to room and, then, offboard.
Ship Quality
Look forward to a "renovation"!
Destinations and Excursions Love destinations. Did our own planning for off board experiences. The ship's excursions are expensive and the one we took the 1st cruise spent more time at the store than the volcano.
Onboard Activities Didn't attend any
Children's Programs Doesn't apply - no children
Entertainment Didn't attend any
Service and Staff
Food and Dining
Honolulu, Oahu
Get up to the North Shore and the Punch Bowl. Rent a car!
Kahului, Maui
Lots of free beaches and great sights.
Hilo, Hawaii
Enjoy the sights as you approach the island. Sunrises are just as spectacular as sunsets.
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii
Great to walk around town and find that special coffee treat!
Nawiliwili, Kauai
Plan to photo/video the last evening sunset as you cruise the Napali coastline. The ship provides superb announcement of the entire coast. We went up to the deck for the 1st way to enjoy the announcement and photos, then down to our lanai after the ship turned towards that side and the announcement finished.

Tip

Plan what you want to experience on each island based upon that certain island's own offerings. Plan downtime, too, to enjoy the local flavors!
