Best way to see Hawaii

I loved the free style cruising. We knew this would be a different type of cruise than to the Carribean for example. We were on tours all day and knew we would be exhausted when we got back to the ship - free style meant we did not have to get dressed for dinner which suited us fine and utilized the aloha cafe most evenings. The selection there was great and varied so we were very happy. Salad bar was excellent, soups were really good too and we had prime rib and asian and italian - could not think of a reason we wanted to do the dining room. Comedian show was hysterical.

Pros: We had a fabulous penthouse suite

Cons: wish food was hotter but when you have that many people to feed I guess its difficult

Food and Dining
Ship Quality
we did not see all the shows was just plum tuckered out after all day tours
Hilo, Hawaii
we did Eco-safari and I have to say the rainforest zoo was a disappointment and the nut factory was not much either and you can get the same nuts almost anywhere you stop but the geo-thermal pool was great
Kahului, Maui
we did the road to hana - it was long but well worth it - lots of waterfalls and scenery and our guide was very good we also did we did best of Maui and Ocean center - the ocean center was the best part the tunnel you can walk thru while sharks and rays swim over your head was very cool
Nawiliwili, Kauai
we did wailua river cruise and fern grotto - it was nice and easy
Kailua-Kona, Hawaii
we did Kona by land and sea - by land part was ok but the by sea part was fun - and we were joined by at least 20 dolphins along the way - and the live entertainment was great
