Review summary

Pride of America is a very pretty ship. The theme and decor was well coordinated. Especially liked the Libery Dining Room.

Once again our balcony faced a rusted warehouse for over a day. It was very depressing in the cabin. We had to keep the curtain drawn because of the sight of the warehouse. Leaving the island we enjoyed the view from our balcony of the "Grand Canyon of Hawaii". Yet, we could not hear the historical remarks. Why don't you broadcast interesting things like that on the TV?!

Our balcony faced port and the view was poor. We did our own drive, Road to Hana, which was fun and gave an opportunity to get a sense of the islands. Yet, it didn't meet my expectations. Stopped at 'Momma's Fish House" - very enjoyable, decor in island products and staff very friendly. Food & drinks- delicious

Went on the ship's Volcano Excusion. Guide was quite knowledgeable and interesting. This is worth the trip.

Pros: coffeee maker in stateroom, decor on ship

Cons: freestyle dining, views in ports, tipping procedure, making reservations for meals,stateroom housekeeper, excessive security,nightly entertainment
