Inconsistent service, great itinerary

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

While most of the staff was freindly and helpful, several were not. One would be too many. The premium restaraunts were insultingly bad values. The entertainment was second rate. Small, easily addressed (but not) annoyances added up to one big dissappointment. Thank goodness we were in Hawaii!

Pros: The islands of Hawaii are the feature on this cruise. Without shore excursions it's a third rate ala carte experience.

Cons: Constant advertising on board to increase their revenues are annoying. The lackidaisical to surly attitudes of some of the staff was unacceptable. Passengers were sometimes avoided, ignored or even fussed at by the food service staff!

Recommends Pride of America? No.

Kahului, Maui
The bike ride down the volcano is overrated. Try something else.
Don't Miss: The road the Hana and the town of Lahaina.
Hilo, Hawaii

Don't Miss: Volcanos.

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

Don't Miss: Captain Zodiac was a fantastic value. The snorkeling, the dolphins, the history, the sites and the ride. The port itself is fun.
Nawiliwili, Kauai
A beautiful island. We could not imagine a trip to Hawaii that did not include Kauai.
Don't Miss: Drive to some of the remote beaches at the end of the roads!
