Pride of Aloha

7 Night Hawaii (Honolulu Roundtrip)

Sail date: July 30, 2006

Ship: Pride of Aloha

Cabin type: Balcony

Traveled as: Couple

Reviewed: 18 years ago

Review summary

Food was fair in the buffet. We only ate in the dining room once and it was good, but not great. Our stateroom with the balcony was great. Plenty of room and the housekeeping staff did a pretty good job. The ship was reasonably well maintained and most of the crew were very helpful (with a couple of exceptions). This is a great way to see Hawaii if you have never been before.

Not really great food but the buffet had good variety.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We were ashore most of the time, so we did not do much on the ship but sleep.

The attention to service was above average, but not excellent.

Get the balcony. You will not regret it.

Wife was not feeling well that day, so we stayed onboard.

Nawiliwili, Kauai

5 out of 5
It was pouring at the port, but when we got on the tour and away from the port the weather was better.

Kahului, Maui

5 out of 5
So much to do, so little time!
Don't Miss: Swimming with the turtles.

Kailua-Kona, Hawaii

5 out of 5
Had a great tour of historic Kona.
Don't Miss: Kona coffee

Pros: Seeing all of the major islands

Cons: Not as nice as some other ships; automatic service charges are stupid
