Great cruise, great dinning and entertainment, especially the mini classical music concert.

Great cruise. Much to do on your own off ship. Diamond Head, Arizona Memorial, Volcanos National Park, etc. These were GREAT and very inexpensive! Did arrange a GREAT luau on Lahaina; check AAA to find the best one and save TONS of cash compared to cruise ship price!

The Oosterdam brought us to beautiful locations and was enjoyable to sail on every day. We were comfortable, felt safe, and had a great time. The private island in the Bahamas was the best part! Absolutely stunning!

Very relaxing. Best vacation ever as far as decompressing. Entertainment was lacking but the Lincoln center was exceptionally good . Tia was a delight to meet And have lunch with ( viola player ). Loved that aspect. Mani entertainment , other than the comedian , was subpar . Dancers were great but main singer was Off Key the entire cruise .

Each member of the Oosterdam crew was professional and pleasant.

Entertainment was excellent.  Wish there was a bit more for some of the early afternoons at sea.

This was the first time we had sailed on a Holland America ship.  Our experience was just a little below or average for this ship.  Boarding the ship was easy and very quick which was great.  When we went to our stateroom, it was so hot that we could have used a fan.  We tried turning the A/C but it was not working.  Needless to say, we suffered through the night and the next day we asked our cabin steward to have it checked.  A couple of days passed and still no action.  I spoke to the cabin supervisor this time and they sent someone to look at it and check it out.  They couldn't find anything wrong with it, but said it was very hot in the room.  Another attempt, I called the front desk and told them my same story.  They had it checked out and still no resolution.On the last evening at 4:30pm, they came to our room to fix the problem.  Needless to say, they did get it fixed, but it was much too late. Another problem we had was our commode  stopped up not once, but twice.  They were slow at coming to fix the problem and we had to use the public restrooms for several hours.....Ugh!

The stops that we made to the islands, were great.  They were beautiful and so clean.  Half Moon Cay was one of the most beautiful. They didn't stay long enough at some of the islands.  Just a few hours.

The workers on the ship were great!  They were very accommodating and always trying to please, very professional and hard working. The majority of them were Chinese and Indonesians.

The food on the ship was not outstanding, but very good.  They had the best breakfasts on the ship that I had ever had on any other one.  Their lunch buffets were pretty good also, but the night buffets were for slim pickings.  Their servings were too small and when you ask for seconds, they would give you just a little more.  I was always taught that a single serving was a 1/2 cup, not 1/4c. 

We went to the dining room 3 times, but they were always too slow.  It would take us 1.75 hr. to have our dinner. We did go to the Pinnacle Grill, and that was terrific. 

The service and food was excellent. I would highly recommend it.

The ship was always spotless, but it really needed to be dry docked and overhauled.  The beds were broken down and the couches were also.  That is probably why things didn't work very good.

Over all, It was a nice cruise, being that it was very quiet and clean, great places to visit for the itinerary   I'm not so sure that I would go back on it anytime soon though!

Our cruise was amazing and our 1st little family vacation.

One Night Cruises are fun Highly recommend looking into short cruises. The Oosterdam left from Seattle and sailed to Vancouver. The ship continued onto San Diego and Hawaii. The one night cruises are a lot of fun and these ones are targeted towards people who live in the Seattle and Vancouver areas. We boarded the ship in Seattle and departed promptly at 5pm. We had lunch in the Lido and dinner in the dining room. Afterwards we attended a show in the Main Stage. The next morning the ship docked about 7am and we had breakfast in the Lido and then disembarked. From Canada Place we took a taxi to the Train Station and took an Amtrak Bus back to Seattle. Great experience but I was disappointed in the food and entertainment since it was geared towards an older crowd.

From Day 1 to Day 7 Holland America was a dream come true. We were extremely pleased with every little detail right up to the big details. We are in our mid sixties and our cruise was so laid back and as relaxing as you wanted it to be. We loved them so much that we booked an Alaska cruise on Day 7 on the same ship. Book HAL for your next cruise!!!!

Ship was clean. Service on Holland is always spectacular. Friendliest crew ever. Pay attention to announcements- they do not bother you with repeated announcements. Some folks missed activities.

First time on Holland America. It was a great way to spend time with family members while someone else did the cooking and cleaning.

We enjoyed getting away from the cold and visiting with friends that went along with us. Cruise itself, well certainly been on better.

Our second Alaska cruise in 10 years. Not much has changed. Weather was better last time, but this is an amazing part of our country. We used to live in Anchorage so I can tell you there is a whole lot more to see than what you see on this cruise.

we really enjoyed our first cruise.   The FOOD was excellent!!!   the sights were great - Hubbard Glacier was awesome - calfed and we got close - saw whale spouts and dolphin from ship - entertainment was mostly good.   The weather was great and the seas relatively calm.   Most of the excursions were good - depends on the guide more than anything.   One was not so good.   Didn't think we would do cruising but now we are considering another one!!!

While I have been on many cruises in my youth, this was the first time for my husband and adult children. They were apprehensive if they would enjoy it, worrying that it would be cheesy or cheap, but everyone loved the experience. The food and hospitality were top notch. We loved the unique port options as well. A great experience we hope to do again!

The staff was wonderful & Excursions were great. Accomodation was comfortable and the food was good. I would definitely cruise again with Holland America.

Return the money ship was old food was lousy entertainment was worse

there was no sail away party. And no live music during the day. I found that unusual. Always had that on other ships.

Peaceful, sumptuous. Professional, attentive crew, friendly officers, accessible help for anything. Felt safe and valued.
