Review summary

Average! Basic! I will pass on this class! Nothing about this ship or crusie was over the top or great. Merch for sale was basic and cheap stuff. Food was beyond basic. Often served cold and just was not up to standard when compaired to the ships in the Oasis class. Ship layout is totally boring. Better venues and things to do on the Oasis class ships. If I crusie Royal again (likely taking a break) I will stick to the Oasis class, even if it means repeating a ship.

Sometimes we pick the wrong cruise line or shop. Carnival is younger more active culture. We switched to Princess, my wife thought it was slower pace than Carnival. Due to app issues we missed the sail away and other stuff. Giving it another go to Hawaii.

Change to a real travel agent instead of the bulk phone version you are apparently using. Nightlife, you should have defined that better since the Carnival ships do party late, but if you want classy, then that is not the way to go. So many options, prices, and combinations to research.

Thanks for the review. Sounds like cruising isn’t for you. If you want am upscale cruise, try Oceania, Seabourn, Regent Seven Seas, Crystal, Symphony or Viking. Just be prepared to pay 3-5 times what you paid for this cruise.
